New organic working fluids have been investigated to overcome the existing problem of H₂O-LiBr. The TFE/quinoline system has been suggested as a new organic working pair. The thermophysical properties of a working fluid have a great influence on the performance of an absorption heat pump, it is essential to know well the properties of a new working pair. A series of thermophysical properties have been measured for the new TFE/quinoline system. With this result a H-T-X diagram has been prepared and cycle simulation has been performed. It has been found that the new TFE/quinoline system can be used in an absorption heat pump with many advantages over existing H₂O-LiBr system.
