A NEW SYNTHESIS OF 2,3-DISUBSTITUTED FURANS FROM ALPHA,BETA-ACETYLENIC ACETALS
A new method for the preparation of 2,3-disubstituted furans from alpha, beta-acetylenic acetals (1,1-diethoxy-2-alkynes), via reaction with triphenylphosphine/trimethylsilyl triflate and subsequent Wittig reaction with aldehydes, is described.
