SoC is an integrated circuit designed by stitching together stand-alone designs to provide full functionality for an application [1]. In SoC design, pre-designed IPs are the essential component [1]. For the IPs to be reusable, the design process should follow guidelines and be documented thoroughly. The soft and firm IPs are productized in RTL form and, hence, they are flexible and easy to reuse. Deliverable items such as RTL code, functional testbenches and test vector files, installation and synthesis scripts, and documentation describing IP functionality, characteristics, and simulation results should be provided to the customer. And the IPs should pass the sign-off checklists to ensure that certain checks were made during design, simulation, and verification so that the final files meet certain criteria. In this thesis, the soft IP design process and checking method is shown applied to Bluetooth system especially focused on Soft IP.
