In this thesis the systemic review on soft X-ray microscopy for nanomagnetism was conducted including the reviews on the interaction between soft X-rays and matter, soft X-ray optics, the magnetic contrast mechanism XMCD, and the properties of bending magnet synchrotron radiation were reviewed. A dichromatic magnetic contrast enhancement method by using the recent development of quantitative X-ray polarization modulating technique at a full-field X-ray transmission microscopy station XM-1, at ALS was introduced, and the experimental result of the quantitative polarization modulation was summarized.
