The numerical method for solving the Cauchy singular integral equation is divided into two categories, orthogonal function method and piecewise continuous polynomial method. In this thesis we will present the trigonometric quadrature, which is useful in solving the Cauchy singular integral equation. We apply this method to the linear elastic crack problem. The numerical results of this examples are calculated by our method and compared with the exact solution. Then, this methods are shown to be very accurate.
