dc.description.abstractAs the next-generation mobile communication system needs ubiquitous access and a higher QoS and, wireless communication systems must be equipped with more complicated network functions. In order to offer broadband service to mobile subscribers with limited radio resources, improve the mobility and accessibility of mobile terminals, and enhance the flexibility of network structures, the cell coverage of wireless transmitters must be made narrower, and wireless relay functionality must be enhanced. Wireless relay network application in communication infrastructure networks will greatly increase in the future and will assume various forms. Therefore, the characteristics of each existing wireless relay network must be analyzed, and the optimal use of relay network infrastructures must be studied further. In this thesis, the MMR network that integrates the PMP connection network and the ad-hoc network, the LEO satellite ISL network that is a wireless relay network, and the routing problem in mesh networks with many backhauls were all examined. A routing solution was correspondingly devised and analyzed under various conditions. We defined the system model for the routing problem in the MMR network, in which the access network of the cellular wireless PMP mode and the ad-hoc network were mixed, we also proposed an access method that can be used to address the problem. Particularly, the k-stage diversity search procedure was invented to obtain DD (delay diversity) using the Dijkstra algorithm in order to solve the problem, The solution searching procedure and calculation results were presented using examples. The routing problems for inter-satellite links provided by LEO satellite constellation were analyzed and formulated as a long-range relay network.
