Design and analysis of a single photon emission computed tomography scanner : GAMMATOM-1 = 단광자 방출형 CT 스케너 (GAMMATOM-1) 의 설계와 제작

A single photon CT(SPECT) scanner, GAMMATOM-1, is designed and constructed. The major design objectives are improvement of detector efficiency and high resolution. High efficiency is achieved by minimizing the distance between the object and detector. Resolution is directly related to the sampling interval, and 1/8 detector width sampling is realized with a new sampling scheme. Hardware configuration, its operation and experimental result of the system will be reported.
