dc.description.abstractIn this paper, we proposed advanced MLGA (Multiple Line Grid Array) structures for improved transmission characteristics at GHz frequency range. In order to propose new MLGA structures, the previous MLGA structure, which was developed as next generation high-density package, was measured using vector network analyzer. Comparing measured S-parameter with equivalent circuit of the previous MLGA structure using genetic algorithm, we extracted optimized electrical model of MLGA structure. We simulated the previous structure using FEM (Finite Elements Method) and certificated the accuracy of electrical model by comparing simulated results with measured results. We proposed three structures that are the MLGA structure with grounded central gird, the shielded MLGA structure without ground and the shielded MLGA structure with ground. Finally we proposed future direction of MLGA structure.eng
