dc.description.abstractThe Radar which was initially developed for military purpose is now used more and more in our industry. It is used in many different field such as vehicular radar, marine radar, aviation radar etc. In this thesis focused on Short range radar. The short range radar can be used in many fields such as level gauging and anti-collision system etc. Many methods for Short range radar exist such as infrared, 3D Camera, Ultra sound. but these methods are affected by environment but Microwave radar can be used regardless of environment. In the microwave short range radar, pulsed radar can`t use because the round trip time of waves are shorter than pulse width. FMCW radar can measure the distance using frequency modulation. and it has some advantage of simplicity and easy to implement. In this thesis, Design the High Speed FMCW RADAR Using DDS. It has 30us sweep time and 150MHz bandwidth in X-band. Additional Delay line is inserted in receiver to shift the beat frequency up band. And the GVA are used to reduce the leakage noise and its harmonics.eng
