Novel MOSFET voltage-controlled linear resistors of both grounded and ungrounded configurations are proposed and their performances are studied by computer simulations and experimentation. The sensitivity of the MOSFET resistors to temperature variations is analyzed and a few temperature compensation are proposed. And a method for obtaining effective high resistances is developed for the application to the active RC filter MOS integration. As a design example, active RC filters are designed by new MOS resistors. Satisfactory performances are obtained on the computer simulation because of the electronic controllability and the linearity of the proposed MOS resistors.
