In this dissertation, the readout circuit for smart IRFPA was discussed. For smart IRFPA, three ideas have been suggested as follows: on-chip A/D conversion, multiple integration method for high signal-to-noise ratio, and then novel non-uniformity correction method. As such features can be included on-chip, and therefore eliminated in the downstream electronics, the system can be made more compact and lightweight. Therefore, by implementing such smart features, one can realize significant reductions in cost, weight, and production time for the overall system.
