dc.description.abstract | Fourth-generation nuclear reactors are being developed as interest in the nuclear industry increases due to the need for carbon neutrality while energy demand continues to rise. The molten salt reactor (MSR) is attracting attention as a reactor expected to have strong safety features and high thermal efficiency. However, until now, there has been little research on MSR safeguards. Unlike conventional reactors with solid nuclear fuel, MSRs predominantly have liquid nuclear fuel.
