dc.description.abstract | "Spatial Equalizer" was reported in 2011 by Kim and Song1. The authors suggested to use a sound focusing or sound ball concept to implement the spatial equalizer. The basic idea of the spatial equalizer essentially comes from the practical realization of a stereo sound system: We never check a stereophonic sound when we control a stereo by using a balance knob. Similar thing we practically do, when we use frequency equalizer in a car or home audio. Analogue to these systems, we devise a spatial equalizer that utilizes sound focusing method2 or sound ball1. In this paper, some of practical applications including a private car listening system and sound bar that can control listening zones are described. Their limitations and practical values are also discussed. | - |
