The four stereoisomeric $^99mTc$-DMSA complexes, Complex A and B from meso ligand COmplex I and II from dl ligand, were prepared and examined their properties. The stereoisomeric complexes were proven to have the different biochemical and chemical properties such as thermal stability, UV absorption spectra, lipophilicity and protein bindability. The biodistribution of the four complexes in tumor bearing animals was studied. Both Complex A and I accumulated in kidneys with high affinity but Complex I had much higher uptake on kidneys than Complex A. Both Complex B and II were studied particularly focusing on the tumor affinity compared to the complexes known as tumor seeking agents. The results indicated that the two complexes were of importance for possible use in tumor detection.
