Owing to the exceptional color purity compared to conventional light emitter and other promising attributes, such as defect tolerance, high carrier mobility, low-cost material and bandgap tunability covering entire range of visible lights, halide perovskites have been attracted as the next-generation light emitter. However, conventional three-dimensional perovskites are vulnerable to the moisture and heat, and show low photoluminescence quantum yield due to low exciton binding energies. In this thesis, we present the preparation of single-crystalline Ruddlesden-Popper perovskites, which are two-dimensional layered structure based on solution process and exfoliation- transfer strategies for the application in light-emitting diodes. Furthermore, we present the novel patterning method of Ruddlesden-Popper perovskites based on the mechanical cutting process, to be applicable in micro-LEDs in the near future.
