The provision of Electronic Health Record (EHR) is now a key element of research. However, the provision of these records requires the patient's consent to collect, store and use their data. This has become a major issue in recent years due to repeated failures to build EHR storage platforms. Nevertheless, the contribution of new technologies has brought many benefits but also fears related to data confidentiality and trust in the responsible institutions. Most models studying the intention to share EHR focus on privacy. Here, through two studies, we seek to determine not only the impact of the way risks and benefits are shown, but also to determine the motivations to share data. The first is a vignette study that proposes 4 different scenarios to which respondents’ consent or not. The second is an interactive survey of respondents' dispositions towards sharing their EHRs. Significant results were found showing that having a summary of risks/benefits creates a stronger intention to share EHRs as well as a relative tendency towards reciprocity-based motivation.
