인공지능 저널리즘 시대를 맞아 중국 언론의 뉴스 생산과 배포에는 세대 변화라고 불릴만한 큰 변화가 일어나고 있다. 인공지능이 기자를 대체할 것이란 과거의 막연한 예상은 빗나갔다. 중국에서 인공지능은 언론의 취재 이전 단계부터 배포에 이르는 전체 사이클에 기여하는 보조적 기술로서 언론 종사자들의 권한을 기존 대비 이탈시키거나 추가로 부여하고 있다. 중국의 국가적 특징 역시 인공지능 저널리즘의 변화에 영향을 주고 있다.
