dc.description.abstract | In these days, there are numerous fire accidents due to high temperature of the outdoor unit of air conditioner. At the same time, the hot air directly hits people as the units are usually installed outside of the building. As the units are exposed to pedestrians, the hot air problem needs to be solved. In addition, the covers of the units have focused only on the functionalities but not on aesthetic perspectives. Thus, this paper proposes an attachable cooling system on the outdoor unit of air conditional with two main goals. The first goal is to decrease the temperature of the air comes out from the outdoor unit to decrease the number of fire accident and to give better experience to the pedestrians. The second goal is to design the outdoor unit in aesthetic perspective to improve the cities’ atmosphere and pedestrians’ experiences. Concrete mixture of cement and plaster is used as the main material of the product. The product is installed in front of outdoor unit and shows 27.5% cooling down effect. | - |
