dc.description.abstractUltrafast chemical reactions in the condensed-phase could determine the important reactivity in various organic molecules, nanomaterials and etc. Pump-probe experiment with femtosecond laser pulse is possible to investigate their quantum mechanical dynamics in the excited-state along the multi-dimensional potential energy surface in real time. With time-resolved experimental data, we endeavor to understand the theoretical hypothesis and enable to form the kinetic models. Based on a wisdom from these research results, we could suggest the efficient structures and nuclear configuration for better chemical reactivity and expect the substituent effects. Also, we would need to develop a new spectroscopic tool providing much more information. In this dissertation, development of high-spectral-resolution femtosecond stimulated Raman spectroscopy and ultrafast structural dynamics of para-halogen disubstituent trans-stilbene, ultrafast relaxation dynamics of porphyrin, ultrafast charge carrier dynamics of metal-semiconductors with femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy are described.-
