Based on characteristics of perovskite materials such as high light absorption, ambipolar charge transport, high mobility, and long carrier lifetime, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have been received great attentions as next generation renewable energy. In addition to the high efficiency comparable to inorganic solar cells, PSCs have light weight and flexibility, applying to various applications such as portable and wearable devices. Although the efficiencies of PSCs have been increased rapidly over the past decade as the characteristics of perovskite layers have been enhanced by researches, the efficiencies of PSCs have not reached yet the theoretical values. Also, the stabilities of PSCs under moisture, heat, and light stresses still remain as problems to commercialization. In order to improve the efficiency and stability of PSCs, it is important to develop new hole transporting materials (HTMs) to reduce the energy loss between the perovskite and the electrode and protect the perovskite layer from external stresses. This dissertation describes developments of triarylamine-based polymeric HTMs to improve the efficiency and stability of PSCs and the relationship between structures, functional groups, and characteristics of HTMs and efficiency and stability of PSCs.
