Cellulose nanocrystal is eco-friendly materials which are extracted from nature like wood, bamboo or tunicate. They have liquid crystalline behavior, according to highly dispersible in water by hydrophilic functional groups and anisotropic rod-like structure. However, the anisotropic shape has a low modulus in the transverse direction, low stress transfer efficiency due to the narrow contact area between the one-dimensional materials, and the inherent nature of the insulator limits the variety of applications. In this thesis, when the cellulose nanocrystal is wet-spun into fiber structure, graphene oxide, a two-dimensional material, is added to control alignment, and reduced to increase mechanical properties and obtain compliant electrical conductivity.
