Investigating the real-time dynamics with time-resolved spectroscopy have been expanded with the development of ultrafast lasers. Recent time-resolved experiments using femtosecond laser pulses are useful for observing ultrashort reaction dynamics; however, it is difficult to obtain quantum-state-selective information of the molecule due to the time-energy uncertainty relationship. Experimental results on the excited state photodissociation dynamics of gas-phase molecules, by using picosecond laser pulses having both state- and time-resolution, with the combination of velocity-map imaging method, will be introduced in this thesis. By the real-time observation of the vibronic-state-selective reaction dynamics, the reaction mechanism involving nonadiabatic transitions was tried to be understood in detailed manner.
