Ultra-wideband signaling based on impulse-radio principle is being widely deployed in short-distance and low-power wireless applications. This thesis presents an on-off keying (OOK) driven ultra-wideband pulse generator aimed at such applications. The proposed pulse generator is structured upon a pseudo-digital architecture with the core of the device incorporating inverter based delay lines. A pulse shaping scheme based on transistor sizing technique is used to eliminate extra pulse-shaping circuits. Moreover, the RLC tank design inherently matches the output to $50 \Omega$ without the need for additional matching networks or output buffers. It has been shown through simulation and measurement results that the proposed pulse generator provides competitive performance in terms of sidelobe suppression and bandwidth.
