Perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) have showed potential for display applications. Whereas, the poor stability impedes the applicable applications. The enhancement of photoluminescence properties and stability of perovskite quantum dots is studied. In chapter 3, surface passivation of MAPbBr3 PQDs have been achieved by 1-dodecanethiol (DDT) ligands. Photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) is improved to 86.4 % from 68.6 %. The thermal stability at $100 ^\circ C$ annealing and photostability under 450 nm illumination are ameliorated. With an opposite tendency that lifetime decreases after passivation, Br vacancies are found to induce nonradiative long lifetime decay channel. With filling of Br vacancies, photogenerated excitons dominantly decay in radiative channel thus the PLQY enhancement is achieved. In chapter 4, the stable CsPbBr3 PQDs-siloxane composite films have been obtained. The siloxane matrix connect with PQDs by (3-Mercaptopropyl) trimethoxysilane (3-MPS). The cross-linked network provides stability against heat and moisture that the PLQY of composite films maintains for at least 6 weeks in harsh high temperature and high humidity conditions. From the research contents, stability is enhanced by ligand engineering and encapsulation that permits PQDs as stable emissive materials in display devices.
