본 개시 내용의 구체예에 따르면, 당을 감지하는 화학감각 수용체를 발현하는 유전자를 세포(동물 세포)에 주입하는 세포의 유전자 조작을 통하여 화학감각 수용체가 세포에 발현되는 현상을 이용하여 시료에 존재하는 당류를 고감도로 정성적 및/또는 정량적 검출할 수 있도록 하여 당뇨 진단에 유용하게 적용할 수 있는 진단 방법 및 관련 진단 기기가 기재된다.
