Gold nanoparticle superlattice has unique properties by itself, and they have synergetic properties with their systematic arrays forming superlattice. For this reason, there have been several ways of synthesizing gold nanoparticle superlattice through solvent evaporation, DNA mediated method and so on, but the superlattice made from these methods are only stable in limited conditions. In this thesis paper, research of gold nanoparticle superlattice driven by esterification reaction that is one of covalent reaction was conducted. Gold nanoparticle superlattice driven by esterification reaction was expected to have better stability than the superlattice made from other method because covalent bonding, which is bonding between molecules, is applied on bonding between particles. Actually, tt is observed that gold nanoparticle superlattice driven by esterification reaction in various solvents and high temperature kept its shape and structure.
