IoT 장치를 제어하기 위한 방법 및 시스템이 개시된다. 컴퓨터로 구현되는 IoT(Internet of Things) 제어 방법은, 메신저 서비스 플랫폼(messenger service platform)의 오픈 API(Open Application Programmer Interface)를 통해 IoT 장치를 버디(buddy)로 등록하는 단계; 상기 버디로 등록된 IoT 장치 중 복수의 IoT 장치를 그룹핑 하여 그룹 채팅방을 생성하는 단계; 및 상기 그룹 채팅방을 통해 상기 복수의 IoT 장치가 참여하는 메시징 서비스를 제공하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
