dc.description.abstract | PVT gauging method is simple and reliable to gauge the remaining quantity of cryogenic propellant under microgravity. This paper presents the results of novel analysis of pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) gauging method. Experimental results using LN2 are analysed by a novel PVT gauging analysis which considers all instantaneous changes of pressure and temperature in the ullage volume during a small time interval. It is observed that the gauging error of the novel PVT gaug-ing analysis is within 2.3% at 27-30% liquid levels and within 4.8% at 52-56% and 72-82% liquid levels. | - |
