An investigation was made of the levels of Pb, Cd, Zn and Cu metals of topsoils in the Taejun-Industrial Complex (II), comprising of many types of polluting industries. The analysis of the samples showed that these metals contributed significantly towards environmental contamination, albeit in localized areas. resulting from industrial activities. It was also apparent that there was a large reduction in metal contents after the monsoon rain, which washed away much of the contaminated topsoil. Located on the bank of the urban streams, Gap-chun and Taejun-chun, the pollution of the industrial complex can have marked effects on the neighbouring aquatic environment as a non-point source.
