This thesis presents analysis for the end-to-end recovery using logical ring with SRLG in GMPLS network. The proposed network architecture employing the optical path concept is discussed to realize survivability of the optical networks and the architecture is superior to that discussed in several architectures with respect to failure recovery. We proposes a new enhanced recovery architecture and algorithm that guarantee both preplanned configuration and survivability of recovery paths and consider traffic characteristics, called as ring-SRLG which is the set of SRLG with weight factor for contributing recovery of other failed links and the SRLG contribution weight factor,$Scw(s_{ij})$ ,per SRLG is used for determination by the counting the contribution of each link to the working link recovery. Within each ring-SRLG, the traffic must treat a disjoint path group from other ring-SRLG and connections with same ring-SRLG ID performs in a group. Therefore, the connections with same ring-SRLG have same risk of failure. The results of ring-SRLG are simple and fast recovery time but large effect of failure which shows in performance analysis.
