An efficient re-configuration scheme for bluetooth piconet by slaves' ordering블루투스에서 효율적인 피코넷 재형성을 위한 오더링 메커니즘

A Bluetooth ad hoc network can be formed by interconnected piconets. In a piconet, one station has the role of master and the others are slaves. The slaves can transmit data only via the master. Currently, the existing configuration schemes for Bluetooth piconet do not concern in the situation that the master is in failure. When the master fails, the piconet is broken down. This causes the interruption of data transmission at link level and the overhead for piconet re-configuration. To solve these problems, we propose an ordering scheme that enables the highest order slave to take the master’s role when master in piconet has problems. Using this method, we reduce the piconet re-configuration time and guarantee the data transmission without interruption due to piconet re-configuration at link level.
