Synthesis and characterization of new light-emitting polymers새로운 발광 고분자의 합성 및 특성에 관한 연구

Poly[2,5-bis(trimethylsilyl)-alt-2-methoxy-5-(2-ethylhexyloxy)- p-phenylenevinylene] (DSi-alt-MEHPPV), Poly[2,5-bis(trimethylsilyl)- alt-2,5-methoxy-p-phenylenevinylene] (DSi-alt-DMOPPV) and poly[dithieno(3,2-b:2``,3``-d)thiophene]- p-vinylene-alt-2-methoxy-5-(2-ethylhexyloxy)bezene- p-vinylene] (DTT-MEH) have been synthesized by Wittig condensation polymerization. These polymers were characterized by using $^{1} H$ NMR, FT-IR spectros-copy. These polymers have good solubility in organic solvents. The $π-π^{*}$ transition peaks of DSi- alt-MEHPPV, DSi-alt-DMOPPV and DTT-MEH appeared at 400, 390 and 500 nm, respectively. The EL device was fabricated by typical single-layer device consisting of ITO/polymer/Al. The EL emission peak of DSi-alt-MEHPPV was shown at 537 nm, and that of DSi-alt-DMOPPV was 530 nm. The emission maximum of DTT-MEH appeared at 680 nm indicating red light emission. DSi-alt-MEHPPV, DSi-alt-DMOPPV and DTT-MEH have turn-on voltages for current at 15, 17 and 5 V, resectively.
