The performance of the power amplifier in a wireless communication system has a great influence on the overall performance of the RF transmitter. In particular, the need for 5G and B5G technologies is becoming more emphasized as data traffic increases every year and new industries and various applications emerge, and the design of power amplifiers is very important because 5G and B5G mobile communication systems use phase array antennas using multiple RF transmitters. This research researched a power amplifier using a CMOS process rather than a power amplifier using an existing compound semiconductor, and particularly, this research researched the linearization of the power amplifier and the increase in efficiency. In this dissertation, we conducted a study on the linearization and back-off efficiency of CMOS power amplifiers for 5G mobile communication using multiple RF transmitters and a study on maximizing performance of F-band and D-band CMOS power amplifiers for B5G mobile communication.
