Perovskite has been gaining attention as a promising material for photovoltaic devices. Comparative analysis on one-step versus two-step coated perovskites on planar device structure was done in several aspects, such as photovoltaic, stability, and mechanical performances. One-step perovskite showed higher performances in all three areas than two-step perovskite, and this phenomenon could be supported by studying their morphological properties. We found that morphology of perovskites, the variable property of one-step and two-step perovskites, could provide a relationship with device power conversion efficiency (PCE), stability, and cohesive energy; thus, further research on the relationship between perovskites with varying morphology in planar structure and their corresponding PCE, stability, and cohesive energy can be done to provide insight in developing highly efficient and stable perovskite solar cells.
