This thesis shows the studies of self-reconfigurable flight control law for redundant flight control system. The control law concerned in this thesis includes CAS(Control Augmentation System) and actuator controllers. The CAS controller directly affects on the whole system stability and performance. This research deals a redundant flight control system which has larger number of control devices than number of control axes. Excessive number of control devices can make the control system more reliable and agile also. Due to the redundant control devices, it can easily overcome partial failure of whole control devices as long as it has enough redundancy. The reconfigurable control law for redundant control system is to generate demanded control effort by managing the control devices in optimal manner. This thesis suggests two types of adaptive based approaches to achieve the reconfiguration characteristics. In addition to those algorithms, a simple algorithm which does not include any dynamic component based on pseudo inversion is studied. In the chapter 1, a brief history of reconfigurable control is discussed. The necessity of using the self-reconfiguration is introduced and several researches are overviewed. Chapter 2 summarizes various control allocation researches for last two decades. The chapter 3 shows a reconfigurable control law by using of robust adaptive control allocator. The suggested reconfigurable control system was verified by simulating with some typical failure conditions. Applying the control allocation system makes easy to design flight control laws no matter how many devices it has or what kind of failures will be occur. In chapter 4, more expanded allocation algorithm is suggested. The allocation algorithm suggested at chapter 3, considers actuator dynamics without vehicle dynamics.
