Axion is a hypothetical elementary particle that was postulated to solve the strong CP problem by Peccei and Quinn[1]. Furthermore, the axion is an excellent candidate for the cold dark matter. In 1983, P. Sikivie proposed a scheme to detect axions using a resonant cavity with a high magnetic field. In order to detect the axion with this scheme we need a high quality cavity [2]. In this thesis, we will evaluate the frequency tunability, quality factor, and geometrical factor of a cavity by using the COMSOL multiphysics simulator pakage [13].
