Precise determination of cage occupancies in clathrate hydrate has been of great importance in studying gas hydrate, but due to the experimental difficulties there have been some problems to analyze the gas composition in hydrate phase. In order to investigate the application of gas hydrate to the carbon dioxide disposal, first of all, we should have knowledges about the gas compostion and formed structure in deep ocean. To perform the analysis of carbon dioxide hydrate, XRD and Rietveld refinement method were used. This procedure can be used as a quantitative tool for understanding the gas hydrate phase.
